The
Mat Work exercises within the Pilates repertoire are a standardised
set - and the breathing is specific to the phases of the exercise
movement.
Almost
all exercises have adaptations to meet the needs of clients at different
levels and with specific postural needs.
Mat
Work is taught in small groups
to facilitate maximum benefit from instructionand correction.
At
the start of the course all clients must complete a medical questionnaire
to ensure that the exercises are appropriate to individual needs.
Courses
will consist of a minimum of 6 sessions, which must be booked in
advance. After the initial course clients should have an understanding
of the basic principles and techniques.
